Breakfast

A whey protein shake, made with water and two bananas. A glass of fresh orange with a teaspoon of creatine monohydrate mixed into it. Approx 400 calories and 40 grams of protein.

Lunch

A 75 gram serving of wholemeal pasta, a boiled egg and a packet of tesco’s bbq chicken pieces. Approx 600 calories and 50 grams of protein.

Mid afternoon snack

A handful of dry roasted peanuts (approx 50 grams) yielding around 250 calories, 10 grams of protein and lots of essential fatty acids.

Dinner

Four sausages, a portion of chips, leftover baked beans, brocoli and savoy cabbage. Lots of nutrients in the vegetables, but not so good having chips. Approx 1,000 calories and 40 grams of protein.

Drinks

Went out to watch the England v Spain game, wish I hadn’t as it proved that England are still not capable of winning at the top level, despite having a manager like Capello in charge. Had a pint of Becks Vier and a half of Kronenbourg. Approx 300 calories and no protein.

Bedtime Shake

A whey protein powder shake made with half skimmed milk, half water. Approx 250 calories and 40 grams of protein.
