Food Journal: Friday 6th March 2009
Breakfast
A whey protein shake with a quarter cup of scottish oats blended into it and an apple. Approx 400 calories and 40 grams of protein.
Lunch
A chicken and bacon sandwich from Tesco and a packet of steak flavoured McCoys crisps. Approx 700 calories and 20 grams of protein.
Dinner
A kebab with salad, chilli sauce and garlic mayonaise - not great but a little treat before I get back into serious nutrition next week - approx 1,500 calories and 100 grams of protein (clearly an estimate so not necessarily accurate).
Bedtime Shake
I’ve bought some instant milk protein, which is 80% casein (good for slow release protein) for my bedtime shake. It’s not as tasty as a whey protain shake, but I’m sure it will be better for me to have overnight. Approx 200 calories and 40 grams of protein.
