Food Journal: Sunday 22nd March 2009

Breakfast

Fifty grams of whey protein powder in a shake, with 100 grams of fine scottish oats and a banana blended into it. A glass of fresh oj with two grams of creatine mixed into it and an apple for afters. Approx 800 calories and 40 grams of protein.

Lunch

A chicken tikka sandwich on white bread with some crisps and an apple on the side. Approx 800 calories and 40 grams of protein.

Afternoon snack

Another protein shake with scottish oats mixed into it, 50 grams of protein powder and 50 grams of oats. Approx 400 calories and 40 grams of protein.

Cinema

I went to see the Watchmen movie last night, didn’t really rate the film to be honest. I’ve no interest in DC Comics so didn’t have any idea of the background to the film, thought it would be just a good film to watch and wouldn’t need any previous knowledge of the comics. I did like the dark haired bird in the film though, she was hot! Dr Manhattan in the film is pretty buff, he clearly works out a lot!

Going slightly off topic there, the reason being that I had some salty popcorn at the cinema, pretty much a whole bag! I’ve done some research into nutritional values in popcorn and it’s pretty poor. I reackon I must have had about 300 grams of popcorn which will give me about 1,000 calories and zero protein.

Dinner

Had a late dinner when I got back from the cinema, some leftover sausage and potota stew from Paddy’s night. Approx 600 calories and 20 grams of protein.
