Leg Workout: Thursday 9th April 2009
I’ve still got a slight twinge in my groin so am forced to have fairly easy leg workouts as I don’t want to agravate the injury and prolong the recovery. As such, I’ve opted for fairly light leg press and normal sets of hamstring curls and quad extensions.
Leg Press
- 100kg x 12 reps (warmup)
- 130kg x 12 reps (slow)
- 130kg x 12 reps (slow)
- 130kg x 12 reps (slow)
Hamstring curls
- 60kg x 12 reps
- 60kg x 12 reps
- 60kg x 12 reps
Quad extensions
- 70kg x 12 reps
- 70kg x 12 reps
- 70kg x 11 reps
After my leg workout, I decided to do some abdominal exercises as it’s an area I’ve been neglecting recently as I’ve been focusing most of my efforts on chest, back and shoulders. For my ab workout I did three sets of crunches and a plank for 30 seconds, not much really, but better than nothing.

Hi Tristan,
I’m getting in touch on behalf of SHOP.COM, a website that represents dozens of online retailers. I have a couple of things to mention that I thought might be of interest to you and your readers.
First, if you saw last night’s The Apprentice, you’ll have seen that it was all about gym equipment. The challenge was to come up with an original gym product - for flexing and toning - for less than £30. I thought your readers might find it interesting to see what gym equipment you can really buy for £30 and under.
We also have a giveaway of an exercise bike and ab-trainer together worth £320, which also may be of interest to your readers.
I would like to be able to send you links to these things and realise that this isn’t really the best way! Would it be possible to get an email so I can send you links to the items above, and to send occasional info like this from time to time - responsibly of course?
Best Regards,
James.
