Leg exercises
The legs are the largest muscle group in the body so it’s always worthwhile stimulating growth in the legs because it will give you resting metabolic rate a real boost. Also, another added benefit of developing your legs is that when you train your legs hard, you increase your body’s testosterone output which helps to stimulate muscle growth throughout the rest of your body.
The legs are made up of four muscles, hence the name quads, which is short for quadriceps. The quads are made up of the vastus mediallis, vastus laterallis and vastus intermedius, which form the bulk of the muscle. The first two attach low down near the knee, the intermedius is further up the thigh. The last muscle is called the sartorius, which is the long thin muscle that runs from the hip to the inside of the knee.
